The Lungern – Turren gondola lift will take you to a place where you can go sledding, snowshoeing and, above all, enjoy fantastic views in winter.

To start with, however, you will enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Lungern. After all, the mountain railway station is about a 20-minute walk away from the train station. Motorists can park right next to the cable car.

The hike starts with a rather demanding walk of around 500 metres uphill. On the way, you will pass the small village of Breitenfeld, which consists of just a few chalets and a chapel and is solidly covered in snow in winter. Here you can rest before continuing your hike. You are sure to find a free bench at one of the huts.

It will take you about 200 metres to reach the highest point on this trail. Then it’s a leisurely walk downhill, back to the Turren lift station.
