At last, a route suitable for snowshoeing. There was snow, there was sunshine, un-snowed trails and a lot of fun wading through the snow. I make no secret of the fact that the route requires some physical effort. You have to swing those shovels.
I must also point out that the route is not signposted. Therefore, you have to follow the map and the trodden paths. In some places it coincides with ski slopes.
If you head towards Berghütte Schwarzbüel, you will discover a fantastic view of the Churfirsten mountain range. The road continues up the mountain to the Laufböden lift station. I recommend taking a rest here. After all, the views from there are amazing. You can also buy something small to eat or drink here.
Be warned that the descent down is really steep and slippery. I recommend walking along the posts with the blue grid. For those who don’t feel up to it or have knee problems, I recommend going down by train.
Finally, we reached the Bad Ragaz Pizolbahn – Pardiel cable car station in five minutes by bus no. 456 from the main station. There is also quite a large car park next to the station.
